Updated 20 September 2026. Traffic Archive provides access to sampled public transport observations. Billing is provided through James’s Merlin business.
Starter subscription
The Starter API is USD 29 per month, renewing monthly until cancelled. It includes 10,000 successful history requests per billing period and up to 48 snapshots per request. Excess requests are refused; there are no automatic overage charges. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown by Stripe before purchase.
Coverage is part of the offer
This is a regional and sampled archive, not a complete worldwide flight or vessel database. Review the live coverage page before purchasing. Regional recordings are collected automatically every 15 minutes and retained for 30 days. Historical example datasets cover only the specified dates and regions. We do not promise continuous collection, an uptime SLA, disruption detection or future global coverage.
Open source data rights
ADSB.lol data is licensed under ODbL 1.0. Fintraffic data is CC BY 4.0. NOAA / USCG source attribution applies to the ship samples. These source licences remain applicable to extracted and derived data. The fee covers the hosted API service and does not restrict rights granted by the source licences. Open sample downloads remain free.
Cancellation, refunds and support
Cancel through Manage billing on the API page to stop future renewals. Paid access lasts through the paid period when cancellation is scheduled for period end. Contact contact@merlintheai.com for billing problems, lost keys, refunds or statutory consumer rights. No term here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Responsible use
Protect your API key. Do not share it publicly, attempt to bypass rate limits or use the data for unlawful activity. The data is incomplete and may be inaccurate. It is not for navigation, emergencies or safety-critical decisions. We can restrict abusive access and will address disputed billing through support.
